BUSINESSMAN, ANTI-CRIME ADVOCATE DOUG
DEASON LAUNCHES AMERICANS FOR PUBLIC SAFETY

Reclaiming Cities from Rogue Prosecutors & Judges, and Delivering
Renewed Respect for Law Enforcement, Drives Creation of New 501c4

Austin, TX—Longtime anti-crime advocates Doug Deason and Justin Keener have launched Americans
for Public Safety (APS), a new 501c4 organization that will support candidates and policies that respect
law enforcement, deliver justice to victims, and uphold the Constitution.

“I’m proud to launch Americans for Public Safety, an organization dedicated to supporting law
enforcement, the rule of law, and our Constitution,” said Doug Deason, Chairman of Americans for
Public Safety. “Lately we’ve seen attacks on the institutions meant to protect our lives and liberties, with
activists treating our justice system as a political experiment rather than a moral obligation. APS will be
active in elections & legislative bodies across America and the halls of Congress, fighting to deliver the
support and resources needed to keep our streets safe.”

“For too long, the police have been disrespected and used as political pawns. They’ve been asked to put
their lives on the line to apprehend dangerous repeat offenders, only to see rogue prosecutors and judges
release them onto the streets without regard to public safety,” said Justin Keener, President of
Americans for Public Safety. ‘Our organization will reverse that trend, and give law enforcement the
support and respect they need to aggressively combat crime.”

Deason and Keener recently authored an oped in the Washington Examiner, “A crackdown on crime
could restore the American dream”, where they highlighted measures needed to make our streets safer,
and the positive effects of President Trump’s efforts to stop violent crime.

Doug Deason is President of the Deason Foundation and Deason Capital Services, and serves on advisory
councils for Turning Point USA and Right on Crime, as well as the Florida Foundation for Correctional
Excellence Board of Directors.

Justin Keener is a public safety & victims advocate who has worked with the Texas Legislature and
Trump Administration to pass anti-crime measures. He serves on the board of the Council of Criminal
Justice, and previously worked at the Dallas Crime Commission and Dallas Crime Stoppers.

APS senior leadership also includes Brianna Nuhfer as COO who previously served as vice president of
criminal justice at Stand Together, and former Deputy Assistant to President Trump Ja’Ron Smith as
Senior Advisor.
